Silk is pure, gold thread used in weaving border and pallu is pure silver thread dipped in 24 karat gold. Contrast border Kanjeevaram sarees are nearly extinct. A vintage saree highlighting the attachment manually by hand of the border and pallu to the pure body piece of the saree.
